Are you running a service-based company or business? Then this blog is for you!

Google My Business will allow service-based businesses to specify the types of services you offer to your customers in order to make the job easier for a customer to find the services they needed.

Google My Business will provide a selection of suggested types of services to choose from, for example, Electricians may see “Install Switch Boards” or “Switch or Socket Repairs” or “Fuse Replacement” as services to add.

Google says adding relevant business service types will generate more relevant leads for those services. So, make sure you add service types to your business profile.

If your service type is not listed in Google’s suggestions then nothing to worry you can add your own custom service types by following the steps below.

  • Signup for Google My Business Account (If you don’t have one for your business)

  • Open the business location that you’d like to manage
  • Under Menu click the info

  • Add your services

You’re Done! It’s as simple as that.

Take maximum advantage in optimizing your Google My Business account for your customers to know more about your business products & services and get good leads and traffic to your website and make sure you are active enough in updating posts, images, and reviews regularly.
